Plantion adds livestreaming to remote buying
Aucxis integrated live video images in the remote buying software of the Dutch flower and plant auction Plantion. The possibility to see the products live in front of the clocks makes the remote buyers’ auction experience even more attractive.
In addition to innovation in the traditional auction room – we may soon roll out the renewed clock wall with LED technology – Plantion attaches great importance to improving its services for the remote buyers. Aucxis has extended the remote buying software with live video images of the auction process in the bidding room, giving the remote buyers the feeling that they are present at the live sale.
“Every auction day is recorded by four high-quality cameras,” Patrick Bauwens, E-Trade Business Unit Manager, explains. “The crystal-clear video images can be viewed in two ways: in the programme itself – instead of the usual product pictures – or on an extra screen. On that screen the user sees the live images of the three separate clocks and a total view of the bidding room.”
This innovation is widely approved by the customers. Remote buyer Petra Van Ginkel, flower shop Van Ginkel: “It is almost impossible to do better. The remote buyers have now the visual image of everything that is sold at the auction.”
“The livestreaming makes it far more easy for remote buyers to follow and experience the auction process”, Patrick Bauwens concludes.
