Supply and weighing terminals
Supply and weighing terminals
When supplying products, it is necessary to enter the required supply data in a database in order to be able to build up the sales catalogue.
This can be done by default via a desktop PC, but it is often much more useful to organise this in the supply hall by means of an industrial and solid solution, for example a (mobile) input terminal or an industrial tablet.
The Aucxis input terminal
An input terminal can be equipped with an industrial keyboard, a barcode scanner or an RFID read point. The device can be equipped with a battery pack to enable free movement in the supply hall. Another possibility is the integration or connection with a balance. In combination with the above-mentioned components, the input terminal has been designed to quickly read data, to determine the lot weight of the supplied products, if necessary, and to print supply tickets.
KOSMOS interfaces with your supply and/or weighing terminals and provides all necessary data exchange.
Various models, tailored to the customer’s needs
Over the years, the Aucxis range of input terminals has steadily grown and we offer today various models: fixed devices, mobile devices and devices with weighing tray, whether or not integrated. They are all tailored to our customers’ specific needs.
Solid and durable
The terminals are built from a durable and splash-proof frame of rustproof steel and aluminium which is suitable for use in the most aggressive environments. The on-board electronics of the terminals – among others the keyboard, the PC, the ticket printer and the barcode or RFID reader – is made up of industrial, durable components. Compact industrial PCs are used, for example, which do not contain components subject to wear, such as fans or hard disks.
Applications
In the fish auction
The fish boxes are placed on an electronic balance and the supply data is entered via a touchscreen integrated in the front panel. The operation is extremely user-friendly and even possible with gloves. The entered data is saved in KOSMOS and then integrated in the sales catalogue.
In the fish processing company
The terminals are adjusted to the ambient conditions in a fish processing company and are mobile to enable use for different production lines. The devices are used:
- upon entry, for receiving goods;
- upon removal, for loading goods;
- upon production, for entering the used raw materials and creating the results.
Other auctions
The Aucxis input terminal is commonly used in fish auctions, but also applied for the sale of fruit and vegetables. A mobile terminal can also serve as a workplace for the quality controller.
