Faster coffee auctioning thanks to modernised auction system at NCE

The modernised auction system of the Nairobi Coffee Exchange in Kenya was successfully taken into service at the beginning of May 2018. The initial auction system for selling coffee dated from 1998 and has offered its services for 20 years as an instrument for the price determination. Aucxis modernised the system with state-of-the-art software and the latest LED technology. This whole development offers buyers and coffee growers the necessary guarantees for a transparent, accurate and reliable sales platform which can stimulate the growth in the coffee sector. On the one hand, the upgrade was technologically necessary but on the other hand, the intention was also to considerably improve and accelerate the sales process. Before the upgrade, the sale lasted on average 8 to 10 hours, while the sale with the new auction system is already completed after 4 hours, which provides a great satisfaction among the customers!
