Auctions worldwide opt for KOSMOS GAP/FIT analysis and tryout

The replacement of the (electronic) auction system is a big step for every sales organisation and customers do not like to take any risk. In order to ensure a smooth switch, we offer a GAP/FIT analysis for KOSMOS – our real-time trading platform in the cloud – which can be combined with a 6-month tryout.  

A GAP/FIT analysis and KOSMOS tryout enable the different stakeholders of an auction to discover to what extent our standard KOSMOS platform already meets their needs before starting the actual migration. Large sales organisations such as the CCIMBO (network of Breton fish auctions, France), Veiling ZON (fruit & vegetables, the Netherlands) and Plantion (flowers, the Netherlands) were already making use of this possibility.

KOSMOS project approach 

In a first phase, it is discussed with the customer which formula suits best his needs: 

• KOSMOS GO, the standard version of the KOSMOS package  
• KOSMOS GO PLUS, the standard version of the KOSMOS package extended with interface 
• KOSMOS FLEX, the customised KOSMOS package; a GAP/FIT analysis and possibly KOSMOS tryout is performed here.

If the customer wishes only a GAP/FIT analysis, we start from his current auction system and we define the functionalities he wants to keep or not. Next, we compare this list to the standard version of the KOSMOS package.  

When the customer wants to combine the GAP/FIT analysis with a tryout period, we install the standard version of KOSMOS with the required software configurations to organise the desired type of auction (flowers, fish, fruit and vegetables, coffee etc.). After Aucxis’ training, the customer’s employees, as well as the buyers and suppliers, can try out thoroughly the KOSMOS package, which will certainly be of benefit to the switch to a new auction system.  
 
In both cases, the deviations and/or extra functionalities the auction wishes to integrate in KOSMOS are written down in a GAP/FIT analysis.
