KOSMOS roadmap 2023

A new year means several new KOSMOS functionalities. Just as in previous years, the KOSMOS team will diligently work in 2023 to improve and further extend the digital trading platform in the cloud. Please find below an overview of what we have in store for you this year.

In recent years, we have mainly been developing functionalities specific to fish auctions (2019/2020) and fruit and vegetable auctions (2021/2022), for example the use of buttons with buy amounts and the electronic registration of transactions via touchscreen during a shout auction.  

In 2023, we will move our focus to software developments for the flower industry. In close consultation with the market, we will develop functionalities in KOSMOS that flower auctions would like to still maintain when they replace their current auction system by KOSMOS. Obviously, these features specific to the flower industry can also be an important added value for the other sectors.         

A selection from the functionalities we will focus on in 2023: 

• Audio request 
  After having made a mistake, buyers can now request an audio connection with the auctioneer, who will answer the request at a suitable time, so the clock no longer needs to be unnecessarily stopped.
   
• Multi-transaction auctioning
  In order to increase the speed of the auction process, the auction can enter how many “fastest” buyers it wishes to handle one after the other for a certain lot instead of stopping the clock after each transaction.
   
• ​More extensive bidding information for the auctioneer, enabling him to better estimate the buying behaviour per batch.
   
• Further configuration of the layout of the clock.
