Stand-alone or integrated in KOSMOS

NEPTUNE requires no installation of software programmes as the software is completely web-based. It can be used by any fish auction stand-alone or in combination with the KOSMOS auction platform in which it is fully integrated. In this way, Aucxis offers an all-in-one solution for the complete digital organisation and processing of your sales processes in the cloud.

Tailor-made for the fish sector

NEPTUNE is the successor to the A-Fish back-office package. The new software was developed from scratch and is the result of the synergy between Aucxis’ technological know-how and the practical experience of several fish auctions. With an in-depth knowledge of the fish sector built up over almost 40 years, Aucxis created a product fully tailored to the needs of the contemporary fish auction market.

Intuitive functionalities for all users

NEPTUNE is very intuitive; for example, one can quickly switch from one page to another. The package is also fully responsive, meaning that the software ensures that the screen automatically adapts to the available space on the device on which it is used: PC, tablet or smartphone.

The service provided to your buyers and suppliers gets a boost as NEPTUNE allows them, among other things, to quickly and easily view transactions, invoices and payments, order services and submit any complaints.

Limited basic investment and comprehensive support

NEPTUNE is offered in the form of a SAAS licence (Software As A Service) and is hosted in the cloud. So there is no need to invest in expensive server infrastructure!

As we provide all necessary services – installation, configuration, training and support – you are completely unburdened. The licence, which is invoiced quarterly, also includes the NEPTUNE evolution programme, any bug fixing and a 24-hour support service.

Always accessible everywhere

Thanks to the cloud, any user can log in from anywhere at any time and access the functionalities which he is authorised to use.

Software architecture

NEPTUNE was developed in RoR (Ruby on Rails) and features an MS-SQL database. The website is browser-independent and can be used via Firefox, Google Chrome, Mozilla and other.

NEPTUNE stand-alone

NEPTUNE allows you to perform all your administrative tasks very efficiently, from the registration of the supply to the creation and follow-up of invoices.

• In the data management module you create and manage all your fixed files (buyers, vessels, species, quality, etc.).
• You have the possibility to manually register sales transactions and set a deposit per buyer, which is checked in real time during the sale.
• A powerful services management module allows you to define and automatically invoice all services with a fixed or variable cost to suppliers and buyers.
• The additional availability of a clear fish box management, modules for requesting services and reporting any complaints make of NEPTUNE an sector-specific, all-embracing software package.

NEPTUNE as part of KOSMOS

If you would like to sell part or all of your landed fish through a clock auction, you can opt to order KOSMOS, the Aucxis web-based sales and information platform, in addition to NEPTUNE.

• Through the available interface, fish landings and other logical data can be exchanged between the two systems. You can determine which supply is sold through KOSMOS.
• During the sale of the various lots, KOSMOS will transmit the transactions in real time to NEPTUNE so that the data can be processed for invoicing.
